The Mon Acoustic PlatiMon Virtual Coaxial One (VC1 MK1) is an ultra-high-end stand-mount loudspeaker engineered to deliver state-of-the-art acoustic precision. Designed by chief engineer Jun Hyeog Seo, the speaker utilizes a unique 2-way Virtual Coaxial (Mid-Tweeter-Mid) configuration. This layout centers a high-performance, US-made Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter vertically between twin 5.5-inch German-engineered mid-woofer units using powerful neodymium-ferrite magnets. With a specialized crossover network set at 3,100 Hz, this design perfectly orchestrates the attack, sustain, and release parameters of note transients, delivering a high-definition sound signature with exceptional phase alignment.

Monolithic Aluminum 6061 Construction

Designed to completely eliminate cabinet-induced coloration, the enclosure of the PlatiMon VC1 is meticulously CNC-machined from premium, aerospace-grade 6061 aluminum. The high-density monolithic structure utilizes an exquisite hyper-brushing technique for a flawless, premium finish. Rather than letting the metal introduce its own material bias, the cabinet is engineered to promises a completely transparent, modern, and clear sonic window. This dense metallic housing allows the speakers to entirely disappear from the room, ensuring you only hear the pure harmonics of the recording.

Dual-Port Pressure Engineering and Holographic Depth

The PlatiMon VC1 incorporates a scientifically designed dual rear-port system that measures and manipulates internal sonic pressure. Each speaker features dedicated asymmetrical porting profiles for the left and right sides, creating a highly optimized pressure differential. This innovative engineering expands the lower frequency spectrum down to 40 Hz and allows the bookshelf speakers to project a vast, holographic soundstage and a dramatic depth of field that utterly defies their compact physical dimensions.

No-Compromise Internal and External Infrastructure

Built with zero structural compromise, each monitor weighs a substantial 15 kg (32 lbs). Internally, the speakers are wired using premium Sanctus cabling from Korea, leveraging the exact same 210-strand annealed wire architecture found in top-tier F3 Signature speaker cables to maintain a pristine, unfiltered signal image. Externally, the PlatiMon VC1 pairs with dedicated decoupling stands inherited from the flagship SuperMon Isobaric system. Utilizing an advanced tungsten ball-bearing mechanism, these stands isolate and decouple unwanted vibrations from every directional vector, neutralizing all mechanical resonance for an uncompromised high-end listening experience.
