The design is truly world-class, featuring a high-gloss lacquered front baffle and a sleek integrated aluminum base. For those who prefer a more industrial look, removing the magnetic fabric grille reveals a stunning pure aluminum woofer cone adorned with a laser-engraved DALI logo. Because the grille attaches via hidden magnets, the front remains clean and free of unsightly mounting holes.

Unlike many subwoofers that prioritize raw volume over quality, the SUB E-12F is engineered to perform equally well with music and cinema. Achieving this requires a delicate balance of precision and power. The Strength and Rigidity of Aluminum

At the heart of the SUB E-12F is a newly designed 12" long-stroke woofer featuring a cone made of pure aluminum. Chosen for its low weight and extreme rigidity, aluminum allows the cone to track the smallest signal pulses without distortion. This results in an exceptionally clear and dynamic performance.

The motor system is solidly built and vented to dissipate heat effectively, reducing distortion. Following DALI’s famous low-loss principles, the suspension is designed for long, unobstructed travel, ensuring optimal sound quality at both high and low volumes.

Efficient 220-Watt Class D Amplifier

The internal Class D amplifier delivers a peak output of 220 Watts, providing more than enough headroom for most living spaces. It also features a sophisticated built-in limiter that imperceptibly monitors the signal, smoothing out sharp peaks to prevent distortion and protect the driver from damage.

With an efficiency rating of approximately 70%, the Class D design converts most of the energy into sound rather than heat. This eliminates the need for large, bulky external heatsinks, keeping the back of the cabinet clean and compact.
